Have you ever felt too intimidated to witness to people in cults and other religions? You're not alone. But it really isn't nearly as hard as you might initially think. In fact, it's really a wonderful blessing when we get to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ with the lost, regardless of how they respond. God is still glorified when we are faithful. This podcast is real conversations with Jehovah's Witnesses from back when they were still expected to go door to door and stand on street corners with their magazine carts. I got to share some info about Martin Luther's history, which they eventually tried to compare with Charles Taze Russell. This was particularly interesting as earlier in the same chat we had talked about some of Russell's crazy teachings in The Finished Mystery, which I had with me. One of them even brought up Russell's obsession with pyramids in The Divine Plan of the Ages! And yet, they still wanted to defend him as if he was some kind of new Luther.

Talking about "who is the faithful and discreet slave" in Matthew 24. The Governing Body claims itself to be a literal fulfillment of this parable, to convince its followers they are the fulfillment of prophesy. Right at the end she says something like "oh so you think it's a parable", as if I've got some new novel idea. But in fact, within the direct context of the passage, it has always been understood as a parable. It is only the WTS that calls it a prophesy about themselves.

This was my very first cart crash. It was a short friendly chat. I asked them who their mediator is. They said Jesus, but the Watchtower says Jesus is only mediator for a literal 144K JWs, not them. I asked them to look it up because most JWs don't even know about this teaching, though it is current. Sometimes this helps them to wake up. Note: I meant 1 Timothy, not Peter. I was out for a walk and saw them, so I decided to have a quick chat, but wasn't really very well prepared.

This podcast consists of recorded conversations between a Christian (me) and Jehovah's Witnesses. My hope is that it will help give Christians the courage to reach out and share the gospel with them. JWs are lost souls trapped in the clutches of an abusive high control group.
